Blue Label Crafted Whiskey

Product: The Blue Label was first launched in 1992.  Today, it is a blend of single malts and grain whiskies from Diageo's distilleries, including some from closed distilleries.  Only one in 10,000 casks – including some from long-closed ‘ghost’ distilleries – are hand-selected to craft this exceptionally smooth whisky.  The blend is made up of up to 40 different whiskies, some of which are aged up to 60 years.

Tasting Notes:   The Blue Label is known for its complex layers of flavors, including honey, vanilla, and spices.  On the nose is hazelnuts, honey, sherry, and orange.  The palate is rich and slightly smoky with hints of dark chocolate, florals, and a mellow sweetness.  The finish is long, smooth, and smoky, embodying the signature Johnnie Walker style.
