Company:  Bashian Rug company is America’s longest running, family-owned importer of rugs.  George Bashian, a young Armenian immigrant started importing handmade rugs in 1931, during The Great Depression. George brought high-quality rug collections from countries all around the world allowing him to quickly adapt to the constantly evolving rug industry.  Coinciding with these industry changes, a new generation of Bashians, George Jr., Garo and Ralph, joined the company. Together they brought retail experience, design and international business skills to the rapidly growing company.  Today, Bashian Rug company is still family operated.  They continue to import rugs but also design, unique rugs that combine classic style with modern living.
