Brand:  TAG Heuer was founded in 1860 as Heuer and renamed as TAG Group in 1985.   Heuer began his watch apprenticeship at the age of 14 and started the brand at the age of 20.  He was granted is first patent in 1869 followed by the invention and patent for the “oscillating pinion” that is still used today in mechanical chronographs by major watchmakers.  In 1892 Edouard died and his two sons took over the family business.  In 1911, they patented “Time of Trip,” the first dashboard chronograph, used in automobiles and aircrafts.  The Heuer brothers continued to innovate in the world of time and became the official timekeeper of several editions of the Olympic Games and other sport events.  Today, they remain a beloved brand continuing to push the boundaries of luxury watches and time keeping pieces.
