Product:  A very nice Belgian octagonal barrel percussion pistol made in the late 1700’s as a flintlock pistol, converted to percussion in the early 1800’s. Features a full octagon barrel, silvered butt, trigger guard, and finial. Traces of gold gilding visible on the top of the barrel and maker’s mark, as well as in the only faint calligraphy name that was once engraved along the top of the barrel (undeciphered). Nicely preserved iron fixtures with hand-carved checkered pistol grip, walnut stock and wooden ramrod. Stock with a rich chocolate-brown tone with a few minor chips/cracks.
