Product:  Alexander III of Macedon, famously known as Alexander the Great, is widely regarded as one of history’s most brilliant military leaders. Born in 356 B.C. as the son of King Philip II, Alexander ascended the throne at the age of twenty after his father's assassination. His reign was marked by unparalleled military conquest, as he set out to end over two centuries of Persian aggression against the Western world. Alexander's ambition, however, was not solely for war; he sought to bring peace and prosperity to the Persian people, viewing them not as enemies to be vanquished, but as brothers to be uplifted. A student of Aristotle, Alexander’s wisdom and integrity were key to his greatness, and his leadership was defined by both military prowess and a deep respect for the cultures he encountered. Alexander the Great passed away in 323 B.C. under mysterious circumstances in Babylon. His death led to a tumultuous period of succession, with his generals fighting for control of his vast empire for the next 40 years.  This remarkable Ancient Greek Tetradrachm coin was minted early after Alexander’s reign (336-323 B.C.) and features a depiction of Alexander as Heracles (son of Zeus) on the obverse, symbolizing strength and heroism, while the reverse depicts Zeus holding an eagle, a symbol of power and divine authority.
